Tournament format
- Open and U-150 (U-1825 FIDE) Swiss or all-play-all tournaments,
depending on entries
- Typically 10 rounds, rate of play 3 minutes + 2 second increment
per player per game
- FIDE Laws of Chess (2018) apply. All results will be submitted
for FIDE blitz rating
- Free tea and coffee available during the tournament
Entry fees
GLCC Club member/LPSCL player: £5 Non-members: £10
in advance or £13 from 6pm on Monday 9 September.
Prizes
40% of entry fees will be returned as 1st and 2nd prizes in
each section
Remaining fees will go towards club funds
Open tournament - highest placed London Public Service
Chess League player will be awarded the Peter Bond Trophy. Winner
2018: Justinas Stojanas (GLCC)
U150 / U-1825 tournament - highest placed London Public
Service Chess League player will be awarded the
Roland Smith Trophy. Winner 2018: Peter Biggs (Pimlico/GLCC)
How to enter
In advance complete and submit the Google
entry form before 6pm on Monday 9 September and either pay
online using the Paypal button below or cash on 10 September
before 6.30pm.
On the day bring the information below with you
and register for the tournament by 6.30pm. On the day fees:
GLCC member / LPSCL player: £5, otherwise £13.

IMPORTANT: If you are a non-ENG player and do not have a FIN
you need to apply to your National Federation for a FIN. If non-ENG
players do not provide a FIN they will be registered to England
for purposes of rating this event. This registration can only
be altered by a fee of at least 250 Euros payable by the individual
player to FIDE. The tournament organisers accept no responsibility
for costs associated with players subsequently altering their
FIDE registration.
